WHAT IS IT?
The Alexander Technique gives us
the potential for improving the way we ‘use’ ourselves.
In the late 1800s, Alexander discovered that the dynamic
relationship between the head, neck and torso is the main factor in
determining the efficient functioning and co-ordination of ourselves.
If this relationship is disturbed you are no longer able to work
efficiently. Rather than using the force of gravity to spring up
against, your muscles work much harder to hold yourself up against the
weight of gravity.
Over time you may continue to lose height and width, and develop
rotations within your body.
